As much as our work together is all about you, most people want to know a little bit about me… to find out if we resonate with each other, if I feel relatable to you, and to build some trust before taking the brave step of reaching out to begin therapy.  

So... hello again!  I'm Rachel.  I'm energetic yet introverted, inclusive and progressive, a wife and a mom.  I grew up in Southern California, moved to Saint Louis, Missouri, for graduate school, and recently relocated to Dallas, Texas.  

I live and love the work that I do and can often be found with a book & highlighter in hand, earbuds in listening to a podcast, or taking a class about neuroscience, yoga, nutrition, mind-body interventions, Ayurveda and Chinese medicine, spirituality, relationships, etc. I'm always happy to share information and offer resources. 

It’s very important that I take care of myself so that I can be my best for you. And if I’m going to share a tool or technique, it’s only ethical that I try it/use it myself. My self-care practices include meditation, yoga, chi gung and mindfulness.  Things like breathing techniques, gratitude and acceptance journaling, and time alone in nature are simple ways that I cope and take care of me.
